Visiting UW Engineering Days with 6-8th Graders

Full of great experiments and demos!
I got to chaperone a group of middle schoolers through some amazing displays at the University of Washington.
My group was fascinated with the Materials Science displays including solar cells and graphite fiber composites!!! (I swear I had nothing to do with the kid's exhibit choices but of course couldn't resist talking with one of the grad students about my past work with graphite fiber composites!!)

I'm noticing my fiber art palettes echoing my paintings, echoing my jewelry...
(I'll have to wear it all together and stand by the painting!)
