I'm ready to go...
So excited for the Bead & Button Show, the intense, creative explosion of color and beads! Fabulous walks along the river into the 3rd Ward. And seeing what crazy weather Milwaukee will throw at us this year. I look forward to reuniting with wonderful friends and meeting those I don't yet know. I teach a full load this year - 7 days with double classes on some days. Busy, not enough sleep, but oh so fun!
Yes, I'm excited. But being away from my boys for 10 days is really hard - I will miss them so much.
And I will miss my garden too - flowers are opening each day and some will come and go before I return. The spirea, lilac, columbine will be long gone. But new flowers will emerge.
I will miss looking out at my garden...
...and having my garden look in at me.
I'll miss you and your lovely garden too! I imagine there won't be much opportunity to post with such a busy schedule but I wish you much fun and creative energy for the week... And perhaps a peek at what you see while you're there if you have a chance to capture any of it? Bon voyage!
ReplyDeleteI can certainly see how you will be missing it, it's beautiful. When I'm in my yard in Texas, it's like being quiet and being able to commune with God. The wonders abound!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful images... I especially love the last one with the pulled aside window curtain offering a peek inside. Your shots are always so clear and crisp! I have been meaning to ask you about the camera are you using?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time at B&B
i am excited & i'm not even going!! i will be waiting to see it all through your eyes when you return, and am glad you take such awesome photos! ps if you miss the spirea & columbine too much, take a trip up here - they are still blooming in august : )
ReplyDeleteYour garden is absolutely wonderful! I can see why it'd be hard to leave it behind :)
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks lovely! I think we have quite a few flowers and plants in common. Have a fab time!!
ReplyDeleteBeverly, thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous garden! I find a beautiful garden to be a Zen experience at times. I'm sure you'll think of it often during the next week or so.

ReplyDeleteAnd that was a LOT of packing! Good luck with your really full schedule. I find it energizing, thank goodness, because otherwise it would be exhausting. See you there. Beautiful, beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI am excited for you too! Have so much fun! Your garden is so lovely, what an inspiration it must be for all of your colorful work, and definitely photography. How old are your boys? How many do you have? I bet you will miss them, but boy will you be having such a nice creative get away! Sounds wonderful! Have some fun for me!
ReplyDeleteYou lucky duck! I hope you'll post lots of photos so we can relive the B&B show vicariously through you!
ReplyDeleteIt would be tough to leave such a wonderful garden behind. What a great place to find inspirations!
You'll be fine, the boys will do great and your garden will embrace you as soon as your back to nurture it. Hug the boys extra before you go! Love and have fun. HUGS ME.
