I love orange! It's a color that makes me happy. I've never seen so much of it on the beach. You teach us how to look for colors in unexpected places, Beverly.
As I read you title and waited for the pictures to load, I wondered what could possibly be orange on a beach. Have never seen brilliant orange starfish!!
In January I was visiting my parents in Cocoa Beach. Walking on the beach one morning, we saw loads of long-legged blue starfish. We had unusually cold weather for Florida this year. Usually we might get a couple cold days, but this year we had an unusual 11 days in a row where the temperature went below freezing. We were told the starfish froze in the ocean and then washed to shore. Why only the blue starfish? No one knows. In the Banana River in my parents' backyard, the mullet died and floated onto the surface. No other fish, just mullet. Strange.
Oh you know this makes me SO happy - gorgeous pictures - orange and the beach together, how much lovelier can it get?! I've never seen beach glass that colour. I've seen amber but never that amazing vibrant colour - it's beautiful! And the little ship you've made... adorable.
Gorgeous photos! Orange beach glass? What a great find. Been picking up beach glass for years and have never found orange. And who knew a rusted out propane tank could look so artistic! Very inspiring!
I never think of 'orange' as a beach color - thanks for showing us all the variations of this lively color.
