Frosty Morning Blues (another Blog Hop day!)




I hope your weekend was lovely!
We had clear, frosty mornings up on the island - what a beautiful get-a-way.

I was a felting maniac (guess what everyone's getting for Christmas?!) as the kids pieced puzzles, read by the fire and bundled up for walks on the beach - one of the perks of no internet!

The gorgeous sunrises, and frosty coating on every blade of grass and dried seed pod in our wild garden, sung with indigo and gold - a rich Split Complementary from the Warm Earthtone Color Wheel.

    I took a vacation to the beach back in mid September and everyone thought I was nuts, visiting a beach in Canada in the autumn.. it'll be too cold! lol Well it was a tad chilly but I loved it anyhow. Several times a day I walked along the beach and just loved it. Especially since there were extremely few people out there and I pretty much had the place to myself :) I don't care what time of year it is or what the weather is like, there are few things more beautiful, peaceful or awe-inspiring then a walk on an empty (or almost so) beach!

    I took a silk dyeing class from Nancy Finn a couple of years ago and can get close to creating palettes from pictures in fibers - but I just learned to bead in July - so figuring out how to make bead soups/bead palettes is new to me. I think you have a great eye for color.

    Another beautiful post! I am so glad I found your blog. I set out to learn about color a couple of months ago. I am almost caught up on gift making,so I can focus back on the color quest. I am ready to absorb. I appreciate your insight and beautiful blog.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE this palette! I love the bead mix and the wanderlust bracelet - these are the colors that I gravitate to over and over.
