Color Inspiration - Mount Rainier

A gorgeous day in the Pacific NW aboard the Port Townsend Ferry and looking south to Mount Rainier. White washed siding and red roofs of Fort Flagler stand out against the blue backdrop in an earthy triad.

Color Inspiration - Red Sky Silhouette

Red blending into orange - a lovely hot sunset glows through long grasses at our beach.

This saturated analogous palette is in honor of the Red Planet and all the men (my hubby included!) and women who have worked so long and hard to insure a successful Mars Landing.

Color Inspiration - Orange Seaweed

Stepping over bits of seaweed on our beach - shades of earthy green, red, brown. Who knew it would glow so beautifully when held up to the sun?

Color Inspiration - Latte

Comfortable conversation and an artful latte (mine with hemp milk) at Rococo Roasting House where the decor echoes the subtle colors of coffee in all it's stages. Smooth, rich and earthy.

Color Inspiration - Anthropologie Cloth Rainbow

Who can resist Anthropologie's gorgeous window displays? This one was in Milwaukee a few years back - a stunning rainbow of analogous colors. Though this photo only captured the orange through green range, the store boasted a full rainbow of saturated hues.

Wouldn't it be fun to dress up a window like this? Red-orange through yellow-green, or perhaps a more watery feel in greens, teals and blues... stick within the same ring of the color wheel for a luscious rainbow of color!
