San Juan Islands

What better way to spend a weekend? We boated from Anacortes into the San Juan islands with some dear friends. As we meandered through the islands, stressed poured off our shoulders and flowed away with the tide.

We moored in gorgeous Roche Harbor, hotels, markets, gardens of surreal perfection.

The sun went down and spun the water into gold.

We are back home now and I'm swaying a little still, but am revived and ready to dive into the multitude of class proposals for next year.

  1. Beverly, The pictures, especially the water pics are beautiful. I've been to the San Juan's, and lived in Ketchikan for 5 years, so that northwest beauty with it's water, trees and islands is dear to my heart. Thanks for a lovely post.

  8. This looks like a true escape.

I am needing to reprioritise my time due to a growing business. I have decided to stop commenting so that I am able to continue reading my favourite blogs. So I just want you to know that I am still here although it might seem that I am not.

    I hope that you understand.

  18. What an amazing place!!! Why didn't I go there when I lived in Washington?!?!? The only time I visited was when I lived in California. How silly is that?!? : )

But after seeing these wonderful images I know I must go back soon. Thanks for sharing these amazing shots and I'm so glad you had a chance to relax in such a special and serene area.
