  1. Maybe it is the time of year but my first thought was "new orleans mardi gras'. All that purple and gold. Love it.

  2. Carribean Reef. These colors transport me to the tropics, the clear blue of the sea, the colorful fish and hint of treasure among the reefs.

  3. Beautiful! My immediate reaction was--oooohh "Arabian Nights" -- it looks so lush. Makes me want to run my fingers through it. CJ

  4. The turquoise is a colour of healing, purple is connected to crown and spirituality, copper is also healing. I think, given this, maye Kali would be good.

art expression of Kali healing energy - true healing energy of life-force of Kali

I think the bead soup above reminds me of a desert evening sky....

  10. "Cleopatra's jewel box". The colors remind me of an Ancient Egyptian exhibit I saw this Summer. Stunning!

  11. Another gorgeous soup, Beverly! I can visualise a voluptuous belly dancer, copper and turquoise jewellery shimmering with every movement. My suggestion is "Belly dance".

  13. I still haven't finished all the wonderful notes in your newsletter, but I just had to tell you about my gut reaction to your bead soup. I instantly thought of "Monet's Garden." The colors remind me of the lush flowers and the colors in his paintings. Even his "waterlilies" remind me of this -- because in most of his water lily paintings, they weren't green, but lavender and blue.

  14. The first thing I thought of when I saw that is they are all of my favorites. So my vote is "All My Favorites."

  16. Oooh purple and turquoise deliciousness - you know this makes me want to dive right in and swim around in it!!! And what excellent suggestions all. This immediately conjured "turkish delight" or "istanbul nights" for me but I think having read the comments I prefer Barbara's "belly dance" (great name!) or maybe "dance of the veils" - definitely something a touch exotic. It's beautiful. You've cooked up your magic again! :)

  17. This bead soup for me turns into a Persian garden. In the garden is a princess. She's wearing beautiful gold jewelry: head band, necklace with turquoise, bracelets, earrings, and rings. She's wearing a flowing garment of lavender and turquoise with some copper accents. She is beautiful. This bead soup is beautifully a Persian Princess.

  22. Beautiful mix! “Sunken Treasure” I immediately thought about water, with the depth of watery blues, bright green blues and deep purples. The gold and coppery treasures remind me of lost pirate booty. Thank you adding A Bit about Photography in your latest newsletter; great tips and I’ll definitely try the mosaic exercise. Sheila M.L.

  37. Lots of good suggestions already have been posted, but I'll add mine anyway. I like A Maiden's Treasure Chest -- copper, not gold, and bright cheerful colors -- and Dancing Across The Milky Way. The only suggestion I did not care for was Northern Lights because, in my experience, most auroras predominate in light greens, whites, and reds.

  38. My favorite colors. I'm not sure if this has to do with yesterday's game or marde gras, but my suggestion is "Orleans." Beautiful!!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. As I was walking at lunch, I decided I liked Scherezade's Treasures.

  41. So many ideas that popped in my head are already taken. How about "treasure chest"? Or decadent desire....? Beautiful colors and so very very rich.

    ReplyDelete
  42. The first thing that I thought of was "Treasure Chest", or "Jewels of the Sea". The colors are awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Cleopatra came to mind - whatever you end up calling it - it's stunning!

    ~Lynn

  44. The turquoise blues and coppery browns remind me of the sea, and the purples are very regal looking - like a princess' bedroom. How about "Thalassa" or "Amphitrite"?

    ReplyDelete
  45. It looks like "aztec treasure to me LOL. Turquoise and copper.

    As always, a wonderful mix

    ReplyDelete
  46. i just want to touch the fabrics. hold them to my cheeks and feel the textures against my bare skin. the cold beads too. i want to take in their colour.

    ReplyDelete
  47. oooo...that translucent turquoise is just luscious. I think of a Moroccan wedding - a celebration of culture and color!

    ReplyDelete
  48. The colours instantly reminded me of fairy floss or cotton candy as it is called in the US... so the name I choose is "Fairy Floss Dreams".
