Eye For Color Give-Away

Working with color drives so many of us creative souls! Drawing inspiration from all around, gushing over the plethora of photos, paintings, collage, fiber and bead work across the blogosphere – we launch into our own creations excited by the infinite array of possible color combinations.

With color in mind and in honor of Zoya Gutina who is graciously featuring me in her current newsletter, I am offering a free give-a-way… or two!

To enter to win a signed copy of Eye For Color*, here is what you need to do…
-Tell me what your favorite color combination is (I’m sure you have many, but what is your favorite today, right now?)

And for a chance to win a bead soup from my Bead Soup Collection
- visit mylovelybeads.com then come back and tell me what my color inspiration was for the necklace in the 6th photo.

I am off to the Art & Soul Retreat in Hampton, VA and will miss all of you over the next few days! Have a lovely, creative, inspiring week and I will catch up with you when I return. By the way take a peek at Curious Girl who has dubbed the 3rd week in May to be color week!

  4. well, I think the 6th photo is the necklace that was inspired by olives.

If you count your picture at the top, that would make 6 the fantastic copper piece inspired by the photo of copper pots.

  5. Dear friend, Thank you so much for your sweet words on my blog. I miss you too, specially our honeymoon time kind of thing.
The answer the question is for pic 6 you've used olive kind of colors and related to them. You know I'm alergic to that, but guess a neckless won't hurt me ;-). I'm into the colors of Sandy Beach right not, just because I'd love to stroll along one with you and gather great sandy things. Have a great time in Hampton. Hugs for the boys when you're away. XXX

  7. Favorite combo of the day is creamy yellow, rose and soft green. Not quite my usual favorite, but today it's wonderful. Tomorrow it may different -- I'm starting to feel tropical.

And your color inspiration for the sixth photo, which would be Sunrise Mosaic the way I read it, was sunrise in Gig Harbor.

    Enjoy Art & Soul!

  36. I'm confooozed! Apparently I don't know how to count to six - zig zag from the top right (sunset), only those with beads in them (olive branch), down one side and then up the other in a U (oceanic volcano). Whichever way, they're all delicious! ;o) Great interview article too.

My favourite colour combination today is deep purple and red, with dark bright turquoise and a touch of orange. A bit clashy I know but it's working for me.

Mostly I just wanted to say that I hope you've had a great time at Art & Soul and I look forward to your return...
